Yo VB!

I don't know if you are familiar with the late 90s game Enemy Nations... But the creator recently released the source code (which weighs in at a hefty 891meg packed! Lots of graphics. The install package/game itself RARs in at somewhere around 300megs. ). Anyhow the semi-casual plan was to reconstitute the game (validating the project snapshot), and go from there on to other more exciting things. The original plan was to get a project going on SourceForge. Unfortunately, the guidelines at SF would require the owner to basically relinquish all rights to the game (even the name!). Is hosting this project something that you would be able to do/interests you? Judging by the number of people that have BitTorrented the project, interest seems farily high. If so, here is the link. http://www.windward.net/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=3I believe 'Source code is available' is the most recent discussion. Also to maybe get a handle of what you might be looking at worst case bandwidth wise... http://windwarddownloads.com:6969/What do you think?

Cough!!! Yeah, I know! I BTed that behemoth on a dial-up! It was kind of like an over the horizon missile release. Fire it and fourgit about it. Not to mention just slightly insane. I think we'll probably wind up unbundling everything from the source. There really is no reason to drag everything under creation around, the majority of the actual code is actually quite compact. The 'group' is seriously adhoc, I'll see if we can go we 'Plan B' and get back to you if that flys. Thanks for thinking about it big guy.
